Hot Water Extraction
The dry-cleaning methods, which are dry foam, dry chemicals and dry compounds, do not clean or rinse the carpet. Instead, they leave a chemical residue.  The most effective cleaning method of cleaning carpets, rugs, upholstery and tile is hot water extraction.

Hot water extraction forces a hot water cleaning solution, under high pressure, into the carpet and then extracted out of the carpet. Shaw Floors and Mohawk Industries, two of the largest carpet manufacturers in the world, stated that hot water extraction is the only recommended method to clean carpets, as hot water extraction systems provide the best capability for cleaning.

Carpet cleaners use one of two types of hot water extraction. If they use a large unit that operates from a van or truck outside your facility or home, it is called a truck-mounted extraction. If they use a small unit that can be brought inside, it is called portable extraction. Golden Touch uses a truck-mounted extraction unit. Truck-mounted extraction units clean much better because it heats the water to a higher temperature, which breaks up the dirt, bacteria, chemicals, and pollens in the carpet. The machine then uses high extraction to draw the dirt and chemicals out of your carpet, leaving it clean, fresh and allergen-free.

Our truck-mounted hot water extraction carpet-cleaning system is the only system that can get under the carpet fibers and clean the carpet thoroughly. The water in a truck-mounted unit is heated constantly to over 220° (usually between 170-190° at the carpet fiber).  The increase in temperature breaks the chemical bonds between the dirt and carpet fibers and more effectively breaks down soil, grease, and other spots for a more complete removal. As a cleaner, this means we use less cleaning solution, creating a healthier environment for all.
